Short Biography: Founded 1932. Extant 2006. Founded by Thomas Beecham. Since 1992, resident symphony orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall. Also resident orchestra of Glyndebourne Opera festival (summer) since 1960s. Abbreviated to LPO.
