Description
A collection of one box of programmes from the McCann collection, from 1943. The collection contains programmes from concerts given in the United Kingdom. The programmes were collected by the concert agent Norman McCann (1920-1999).
The contents of the collection are as follows:
London:
Royal Albert Hall – 31 programmes; 2 prospectuses
There are 11 programmes and two prospectuses from the Henry Wood Promenade Concerts.
National Gallery – 42 programmes
The programmes are from “National Gallery Concerts”, the war-time concert series organised by Myra Hess.
