Description
A collection of one box/two boxes of programmes from the McCann collection, from 1932. The collection contains programmes from concerts given in the United Kingdom. The programmes were collected by the concert agent Norman McCann (1920-1999).

The contents of the collection are as follows:

London:
Queen's Hall – 8 programmes; 1 prospectus
The prospectus covers the Henry Wood Promenade Concerts.

Royal Albert Hall (4); Royal Institution of Great Britain, 21 Albemarle Street; Conway Hall, Red Lion Place (5); Palladium; 29 Lennox Gardens; Whitechapel Art Gallery; Westminster Cathedral; Lindsey Hall, The Mall, Notting Hill Gate; Guildhall School of Music Theatre; Victoria and Albert Museum; Royal Military School of Music; Concert Hall, College of Nursing [1a Henrietta Street]; Alexandra Palace; 11 Green Street ("a commentary on the exhibition of French pictures at Burlington House"); Grotrian Hall; Parliament Hill County School; St. Paul's Cathedral; Wigmore Hall (2); Migvie Lodge, 2 Porchester Gardens, W2; Northwick Park Hall; St. Aubyn’s Church Hall, Church Road, Upper Norwood (2).

In addition, there is a programme for events organised by the “Leeds Dramatic, Musical and Societies”: these took place at various venues in Leeds. There is also a programme from a concert which took place in a venue entitled “Concert Hall”, where the geographic location is unknown.
