Collection Title
McCann Collection: United Kingdom (1927)
A collection of one box/two boxes of programmes from the McCann collection, from 1927. The collection contains programmes from concerts given in the United Kingdom. The programmes were collected by the concert agent Norman McCann (1920-1999).

The concerts were not "National" in the sense of being British – the specially amassed choir and orchestra were conducted by both British and continental conductors, and the music performed was in the main not British – as much as their broadcasts on national radio, which were designed to enable the whole country to hear the concerts. The collection includes three programmes from the series entitled "Special Sunday Concerts".
