Description
A collection of one box from the McCann collection, from 1922. The collection contains programmes from concerts given in the United Kingdom. The programmes were collected by the concert agent Norman McCann (1920-1999).

The contents of the collection are as follows:

London:
Queen's Hall – 10 programmes; 1 prospectus
The collection includes three programmes and one prospectus from the Henry Wood Promenade Concerts.

Royal Albert Hall – 15 programmes
The collection includes six programmes from the concert series "Special Sunday Concerts".

Wigmore Hall – 10 programmes, plus press cuttings

Aeolian Hall – 9 programmes, plus press cuttings

Central Library, Holloway Road, Highbury; Steinway Hall (2); Morely College (2); Wesleyan Central Hall, Westminster; King George's Hall, Caroline Street, Tottenham Court Road; Westminster Abbey (3 programmes, plus press cuttings); City Temple, Holborn (2); Church of St. Michael, Cornhill; Goldsmiths College, New Cross; Chelsea Town Hall (3); St. Margaret's, Westminster (2); Abbey Lodge, Hanover Gate, Regent's Park; Westminster Cathedral (2); Southwark Cathedral (2); Botanical theatre, University College, Gower Street; St. Angela's High School, Forest Gate; Nunhead Football and Sports Club.

Edinburgh:
Usher Hall – 8 programmes
The programmes are from concerts given as part of the concert series "Paterson's Concerts". These were orchestral concerts given by the Scottish Orchestra.

Other provincial venues:
Tempest Anderson Hall, York; Winter Garden, Devonshire Park, Eastbourne (2); Llandudno Pier; Arcadia, Llandudno; Free Trade Hall; Princess Gardens Bandstand, Torquay; West Pier, Brighton; Victoria Hall, Sheffield; Colston Hall; Haslemere Hall.

In addition there is a brochure for concerts taking place at both the Winter Gardens and Pier in Bournemouth.

There is a programme from the first concert given by the "Pianoforte Society". Though the venue is not specified, it could be the Wigmore Hall. There is a word book which does not specify a venue; however there is a pencil annotation indicating that the concert took place in the Queen's Hall (London). There are four programmes from venues entitled "Women's Institute", "Mortimer Hall", "St. Mary's Parish Hall" and "Waxwell Farm House". No further information about these venues is known. There are two programmes where either the concert venue is not specified, or the programme spans a multi-venue tour.
