McCann Collection: United Kingdom (1916-1918)
A collection of one box of programmes from the McCann collection, from 1916 to 1918. The collection contains programmes from concerts given in the United Kingdom. The programmes were collected by the concert agent Norman McCann (1920-1999).

The contents of the collection are as follows:
Queen's Hall – 35 programmes
The collection includes 11 programmes from "Promenade Concerts", eight programmes from the series "Symphony Concerts" and six programmes form concerts organised by the Royal Philharmonic Society. The collection also includes a festival programme from the London Festival of British Music (1915).

Royal Albert Hall – 24 programmes
The collection includes 17 programmes from the series "London Ballad Concerts".

Wigmore Hall – 17 programmes

Aeolian Hall – 15 programmes

London Coliseum; Bloomsbury Central Church, Shaftesbury Avenue; Central Hall, Westminster (2); Bechstein Hall; Steinway Hall; Princes' Hall, Piccadilly; Southwark Cathedral; Swakeleys, Uxbridge; Leighton House, 12 Holland Park Road; Royal Victoria Hall, Waterloo Road; Northmet House, Cannon Hill, Southgate (2).

Pier Pavilion – 17 programmes
The programmes are from orchestral concerts, given by an orchestra entitled "Pier's Company Orchestra".

West Pier, Brighton; Winter Garden, Palace Pier, Brighton (2); Aquarium Winter Garden, Brighton (2); Royal Albert Institute, Windsor; Music Hall, Edinburgh; Royal Hall, Harrogate; Usher Hall, Edinburgh (2); Women's Institute Hall, Finchampstead; Villa Marina [Douglas, Isle of Mann].

In addition, there is a prospectus from the Municipal Orchestra, Bournemouth, where concerts took place in the Winter Gardens (Bournemouth) and Bournemouth Pier.

There is a programme where no venue has been printed, but a pencil annotation indicates that the concert took place in Central Hall, Westminster. There are five programmes from unspecified venues.
