A collection of programmes that took place at Buckingham palace, from 1847 onwards. The collections consists of original programmes, photostats of programmes held at the RCM and elsewhere and a few tickets. The majority of the collection is from the nineteenth century. Programmes from this period were largely for concerts of operatic extracts, either vocal or instrumental. Some programmes included instrumental selections derived from operas. The following is a list of dates of the material in the collection, up until 1902. It includes Photostat material. All items are programmes/fliers, unless otherwise indicated:

The CPH collections now form part of the RCM Library. The majority of the concert programme collections are stored off-site so you need to request items before arriving. Requests for programmes are processed on Thursday for delivery to the library the following week. The Library itself is open Monday to Friday during term times and Tuesday to Friday during vacations.
