Description
A collection of 17 programmes from the Albert Hall, Manchester, from 1944 to 1948.
The majority of programmes in the collection are from the 89th season of concerts given by the Hallé Orchestra (1946-1947). Most of these programmes are from concerts conducted by John Barbirolli. Other conductors represented include Nicolai Malko and Enrique Jorda.
In addition, the collection includes programmes from other concerts given by the Hallé Orchestra, as well as programmes from other orchestras such as the BBC Northern Orchestra and the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. There are also a few programmes from solo recitals and choral concerts.

Building Information
The CPH collections now form part of the RCM Library. The majority of the concert programme collections are stored off-site so you need to request items before arriving. Requests for programmes are processed on Thursday for delivery to the library the following week. The Library itself is open Monday to Friday during term times and Tuesday to Friday during vacations.
