Austria (1824-)
A collection of 12 boxes of programmes from Austria. The programmes are largely from Vienna and Salzburg. The earliest programme in the collection is from Vienna from 1824, and the collection includes significant material from nineteenth-century Vienna.

The collection includes seven boxes of programmes from Vienna, arranged partially by date and partially by venue. The collection includes one box of programmes from the nineteenth century. The collection contains programmes from a wide array of venues including significant amounts of programmes from the following venues: Staatsoper; Burgtheater; Volksoper; Theater an der Wien; Operntheater; Musikverein, including Brahms-Saal and Grosser Musikvereins-Saal; Gesellshaft der Musikfreunde. The collection also contains other items of interest, including ball programmes from the Wiener Philharmoniker.

The collection includes four boxes of programmes from Salzburg. These are largely festival programmes or concert programmes from the Salzburg Festival. The collection does include a small number of other concert programmes, including two programmes from 1850.

The collection includes one box of programmes from concerts given in Graz, Klagenfurt and festivals from a variety of other towns and cities in Austria.

The collection is divided into Vienna/Salzburg/Other. Each of these is arranged in its own way, including a mixture of chronological and venue-based arrangement.

Building Information
The CPH collections now form part of the RCM Library. The majority of the concert programme collections are stored off-site so you need to request items before arriving. Requests for programmes are processed on Thursday for delivery to the library the following week. The Library itself is open Monday to Friday during term times and Tuesday to Friday during vacations.
