Each concert consisted of selections from two or more Wagnerian operas (see below), with occasional orchestral works. All programmes provide extensive historical and analytical notes, including musical examples. The English texts also included therein are provided by Dr. Hueffer, Alfred Forman, J.P. Jackson and John Oxenford.
The concerts featured vocalists from the Bayreuth Festival: Frau Materna, Frau von Sadler-Grün, Fraulein Babette Waibel, Fraulein Elisabeth Exter, Herr Unger, Herr Hill, Herr Chandon and Herr Schlosser.
The programmes contain a complete list of the Wagner Festival Orchestra, led by Wilhelmj and conducted by Richard Wagner. Hans Richter and Edward Dannreuther are listed as conductors of the rehearsals.
