A collection of 5 loose programmes for performances given by the Reading Festival Chorus between 1971 and 1973, conducted by Peter Edwards, held as the 4th of 7 envelopes of material relating to this organization.

Also, a printed slip announcing the replacement of Annette Thompson with Angela Bates at the concert of 6 December 1972 (part 5) and a short audience questionnaire (part 6).

The concert on 17 May 1972, was given at the Minster Church of St. Mary the Virgin in the Butts. The remainder were held in the Town Hall, Reading.

With the exception of that given on 17 May 1972, all performances were given with the Reading Symphony Orchestra. The vocal soloists are listed below.

1 December 1971: Handel, Messiah with Barbara Lowe, Elizabeth Castle, Neil Jenkins and John Lawrenson.

9 February 1972: Bach, St. John Passion with Ian Partridge, John Carol Case, Suzanne Green, Joan Wother, Anthony Johnson and Graham Trew.

17 May 1972: Poulenc and Fauré, with Linda Murray and Alan Woodhouse (with words).

6 December 1972: Handel, Messiah with Barbara Lowe, Annette Thompson, John Stoddart and Roger Stalman.

18 May 1973: Elgar, The Dream of Gerontius with Barbara Robotham, David Johnston and John Noble.
