A collection of programmes for performances given by the Reading Festival Chorus between 1945 and 1959, arranged chronologically in a single scrapbook and accompanied by press cuttings.

With the exception of the concert on 6 May 1959 (held at the Minster Church of St. Mary the Virgin in the Butts, Reading), all concerts were given at the Town Hall, Reading.

Where no other indication is given below, all concerts were conducted by W. Ewart Masser. The vocal soloists are listed below. All concerts given in December consisted of Handel, The Messiah.

All concerts to 1950 and those given on 12/13 December 1951 and 8 March 1952 featured the Reading Symphony Orchestra.

7 April 1945: Handel, Messiah with Margaret Field-Hyde, Kathleen Ferrier, Eric Greene and Henry Cummings, conducted by Reginald Jacques (with brief note)

17 October 1945: Isobel Baillie (vocal) and John Fry (additional conductor) (with notes).

19 October 1945: Haydn, The Creation presented by the Reading Festival Chorus and Reading Symphony Orchestra with Elsie Suddaby, Trefor Jones and William Parsons, conducted by Reginald Jacques (with note).

29 May 1946: Bach, Mass in B minor given by the Reading Festival Chorus and Reading Symphony Orchestra with Isobel Baillie, Kathleen Ferrier, Eric Greene and William Parsons (with words).

11 December 1946: Joan Taylor, Eileen Pilcher, Bradbridge White and Arthur Cranmer, conducted by Reginald Jacques (with notes).

26 November 1947: Nancy Evans (vocal) with John Fry (additional conductor) (with words and notes).

23 December 1947: Isobel Baillie, Janet Howe, Ronald Bristol and Norman Walker (with notes).

14 December 1948: Isobel Baillie, Molly Leaper, William Herbert and Norman Walker.

1 March 1949: Mendelssohn, Elijah with Emelie Hook, Valetta Iacopi, Rene Soames and George Pizzey (with notes).

13/14 December 1949: Isobel Baillie, Nancy Evans, William Herbert and Norman Walker (single document).

15 April 1950: Bach, Mass in B minor with Audrey Strange, Kathleen Ferrier, Alfred Hepworth and Bruce Boyce (with words).

22 November 1950: Bach, Mass in B minor with Elsie Suddaby, Astra Desmond, Eric Greene and William Parsons, part of Reading Christian Arts Festival (with words).
