A bound volume containing programmes with words for performances given by the Oxford Philharmonic Society (1869-1888), the Oxford Choral Society (1877-89) and Oxford Choral and Philharmonic Society (1891-95).

1. Oxford Philharmonic Society
With the exception of that on 13 February 1884 (held at the Corn Exchange), all concerts were given at the Sheldonian Theatre. They were conducted by Mr Taylor, with the soloists listed below (vocal, where not otherwise stated). The programme for 12 June 1882 includes some extended historical and analytical notes (with musical examples). Where no other indication is given below, these were two-part concerts, typically with the first part devoted to a single, extended choral piece and the second more miscellaneous in nature.

7 June 1869: Grand Morning Concert with Mr H. Blagrove (violin) and Mr M. J. Muir-Mackenzie (cello).
7 June 1875: Grand Morning Concert with Miss Edith Wynne, Mr H. Guy, Miss Butterworth and Rev. T. M. Everett.
11 June 1877: Grand Concert with Miss Annie Sinclair, Mr Barton McGuckin and Mr Thurley Beale.
12 June 1882: Commemoration Concert with Miss Mary Davies and Mr Santley.
13 February 1884: Handel, Samson, with Miss Marian Fenna, Miss Hilda Wilson, Mr Harper Kearton, Mr Hilton and Mr Grice.
15 June 1885: Grand Concert with Miss Anna Williams, Mr Joseph Maas and Mr Herbert Thorndike, including C. H. Lloyd, Hero and Leander (conducted by the composer).
28 June 1886: Commemoration Concert with Mrs Hutchinson, Miss May Bliss, Miss Winthrop, Mr Barton McGuckin, Mr Wright and Mr Barrington Foote.
20 June 1887: Commemoration Concert, with Mademoiselle Trebelli, Mr Edward Lloyd and Mr Grice.
18 June 1888: Commemoration Concert, with Mademoiselle Antoinette Trebelli, Miss Hope Glenn, Mr Iver McKay and Mr Frederick King.

2. Oxford Choral Society
These concerts were conducted by Mr W. Howell Allchin (1877-81), C. Harford Lloyd (1882 and 1885) and J. Varley Roberts (1886 and 1889), with the vocal soloists listed below. The programmes for 1881 and 1889 include some extended historical and analytical notes, with musical examples, the latter also containing a list of the orchestral ensemble.

28 November 1877: Mendelssohn, Hymn of Praise and Rossini, Stabat Mater, with Miss Adela Vernon, Miss Bertha Griffiths, Mr Bernard Lane and Mr Adolphus Phillips.
6 November 1879: Mrs Osgood, Miss Antelli, Mr Barton McGuckin and Mr Bridson.
16 November 1881: Third Concert (Orchestral and Vocal), including Sullivan, The Martyr of Antioch, with Miss Annie Marriot, Miss Josephine Cravino, Mr Edward Lloyd, Mr Alfred Hill and Mr Frederick King (conducted by the composer).
29 November 1882: Mendelssohn, Elijah, with Madame Lemmens-Sherrington, Mademoiselle Enriquez and Mr Vernon Rigby.
29 January 1885, Corn Exchange: with Miss Carlotta Elliott, Miss Hilda Wilson, Mr Edward Lloyd and Mr King, including the first Oxford performance of Stainer, St. Mary Magdalen (conducted by the composer).
[November 1886]: Sterndale Bennett, The Woman of Samaria and Mendelssohn, Hymn of Praise, with Miss Hilda Coward, Miss Hilda Wilson, Mr Edward Lloyd and Mr D. Sutton Shepley.
12 March 1889, Sheldonian Theatre: Grand Choral and Orchestral Concert, with Mrs Hutchinson, Madame Florence Winn, Mr Harper Kearton and Mr A. F. Ferguson, conducted by Roberts.

3. Oxford Choral and Philharmonic Society
These concerts were conducted by J. Varley Roberts (1891-93) and F. Cunningham Woods (1894-95) and were given with the vocal soloists listed below. Where the programmes carry a venue, this was the Sheldonian Theatre.
With the exception of that for 1892, all programmes include a list of the orchestral ensemble. Those for 1891, 1893 and 1894 also carry historical and analytical notes, including musical examples.
15 June 1891: Commemoration Concert with Mrs Clara Leighton, Miss Mary Tunnicliffe, Mr Hirwen Jones and Mr Watkin Mills.
20 June 1892: Dvorak, The Spectre's Bride and Parry, Blest Pair of Sirens (with introductory note).
19 June 1893: Commemoration Concert with Miss Evangeline Florence, Mr Iver McKay and Mr Watkins Mills.
18 June 1894: Commemoration Concerts, with Mr Norman Salmond and Miss Dora Barnard (vocal), including Edward German, Selections from the Music to Henry VIII, conducted by the composer.
21 February 1895: Handel, Messiah.
