Description
Programme and wordbook for Madame Albani’s Grand Evening Concert, given at the Queen's Hall, London on 10 February 1899.
This was a two-part concert, including the first London performance of C.V. Stanford, Te Deum, for soli, chorus and orchestra.
The programme provides detailed information regarding both the vocal and instrumental soloists and lists the members of the Royal College of Music Orchestra in full. This ensemble was led by Mr A.C. Bent, conducted by Charles Villiers Stanford, and was supported by the chorus of the Queen’s Hall Choral Society.
Soloists: Madame Albani, Miss Ada Crossley, Mr Edward Lloyd, Mr Ben Davies and Mr Santley (vocal) and Johannes Wolff (violin), accompanied by Mr F.A. Sewell.
