A miscellaneous collection of handbills and programmes (many containing words, notes and lists of the choral and orchestral ensembles) for performances given in Oxford and across the south of England between 1912 and 1915.

This material has been mounted in three folders, arranged chronologically as follows (folio numbers in parenthesis).

In addition to the concert programmes listed below, Folder 3 also contains two undated programme fragments (with notes). The first of these (folio 647) would appear to relate to the concert given at the Sheldonian Theatre on 25 February 1915 (listed below and held as folio 649). The second may relate to a performance given by the Oxford Choral and Philharmonic Society on 18 June 1894, held as folio 382 of this collection (see John Colegrave collection: Box 3)

Saturday 26 June [1915]: Orchestral Concert with Evelyn Langston (soprano) and Dorothea Walwyn (violin), conducted by H. P. Allen.

3. Town Hall
1912-13: Oxford University Musical Club Public Classical Concerts, 22nd season (prospectus with programmes).
Saturday 29 November [1913] and Saturday 28 February [1914]: Promenade Concerts nos. 1 and 2, given by Dr. Allen's Orchestra, conducted by Hugh Allen, the second including the first performance of George Butterworth, Idyll for Orchestra.
