Second Musical Festival, Kruse (1904)
Unique Identifier
A bound volume, with handwritten index, containing the programme booklet for the Six Subscription Concerts and 1 Extra Wagner Concert given at the Queen's Hall in April 1904 as Professor Johann Kruse's Second Musical Festival.

All programmes include words and descriptive and analytical notes (with musical examples) by either Ernest Walker or A. J. Jaeger. The programme for the first concert also includes a list of the choral and orchestral ensembles.

9 April: Choral and Orchestral concert with Miss Agnes Nicholls and Miss Edna Thornton, Mrs Harriet Foster, Mr Gervase Elwes and Mr D. Ffrangcon-Davies (vocal) and a chorus from the Sheffield Musical Union, conducted by Felix Weingartner.
11 April: Mark Hambourg (piano).
13 April: Johann Kruse (violin).
16 April: Johann Kruse (violin) and Mr D. Ffrangcon-Davies (vocal).
18 April: Albert Fransella (flute) and Johann Kruse (violin).
19 April: Extra Wagner Concert.
20 April: Miss Agnes Nicholls, Mr Gervase Elwes, Miss Edna Thornton and Mr Frederic Austin (vocal) and a chorus from the Sheffield Musical Union.

This volume is stamped as the property of Oxford University Musical Club and Union.
