Germany: Nürnberg-Fürth (1928-80)
A collection of handbills, programmes and prospectuses for orchestral and operatic performances given at various venues in Nürnberg between 1928 and 1980, held loosely within a box of programmes for German venues A-Z.

The collection includes 3 editions of the Blätter der Städtischen Bühnen Nürnberg-Fürth from the seasons 1954–55, 1956–57 and 1961–62 which contain programmes for operatic productions given at the Opernhaus on 29 March 1955 (Friedrich Schröder, Das Bad auf der Tenne), 28 February 1957 (Strauss, Ariadne auf Naxos) and 19 February 1962 (Robert Stolz, Wiener Café). All items include notes, biographical information and photographs

There are also programmes for 4 Meisterkonzert given in the Meistersingerhalle between 1964 and 1980 (see below) and programme books for productions of Wagner, Die Meistersinger, given on 4 August 1928 and 17 August 1930 at the Stadttheater.

All of these documents include notes, biographical notes, photographs and lists of the orchestral ensemble. The collection also includes a leaflet prospectus for the season 1980–81.

10 January 1968: BBC Symphony Orchestra directed by Colin Davis.
27 April 1975: English Chamber Orchestra directed by Pinchas Zukerman.
19 February 1978: English Chamber Orchestra with Murray Perahia (piano), conducted by Jose Luis Garcia.
23 May 1980: BBC Symphony Orchestra with Victoria Postnikowa (piano), conducted by Gennadi Roshdestwensky.

Building Information
The CPH collections now form part of the RCM Library. The majority of the concert programme collections are stored off-site so you need to request items before arriving. Requests for programmes are processed on Thursday for delivery to the library the following week. The Library itself is open Monday to Friday during term times and Tuesday to Friday during vacations.
