Germany: Berlin A-Kom (1907-95)
Description
A miscellaneous collection of handbills and programmes for performances given at various venues in Berlin between 1907 and 1995, arranged by venue over five folders within a single box.

Folders 2, 3 and 5 contain programmes with notes (including photographs and illustrations) for operatic performances given at the Deutsche Oper (12 items, 1962–86), the Deutsche Staatsoper (10 items, 1949–95) and Komische Oper (16 items, 1949-95).

Folders 1 and 4 include programmes for concert performances given at various venues, with the former consisting largely of programmes for the Bechstein Saal and Beethoven Saal.

The CPH collections now form part of the RCM Library. The majority of the concert programme collections are stored off-site so you need to request items before arriving. Requests for programmes are processed on Thursday for delivery to the library the following week. The Library itself is open Monday to Friday during term times and Tuesday to Friday during vacations.
