A collection of handbills, programmes and other material (including notes and correspondence) relating to Lecture-Recitals Nos. 3-9 presented by the British Music Society and given in the Jubilee Room, New Cavendish Club, 44 Great Cumberland Place, London between April 2005 and November 2006.

27 April: The Music, Life and Times of Alan Rawsthorne, a celebratory lecture presented by John McCabe.
5 October: The Music of Nelson and His Navy to be given by Richard Baker.
29 October: Malcolm Williamson, Our Man in Havana, given by Stan Meares, in conjunction with the BMS AGM (members only).
7 December: William Alwyn – The Art of Film Music, to be given by Ian Johnson.

6 May: Benjamin Frankel – His Life and Music, given by Dimitri Kennaway.
30 September: Grace Williams – Her Life and Music, to be given by Rhiannon Mathias.
18 November: William Yeates Hurlstone – His Life and Music, given by John Humphries.

Its core business is to provide all the information resources and music materials that students need to attain the high standard required by their courses. It is also a research library with collections of international significance.
