A collection of programmes and wordbooks for vocal recitals given at the Bechstein Hall, London on 13 June 1901 and 17 and 19 January [1903]. Also, the programme and wordbook for Miss Ethel Barns and Mr Charles Phillips’ Chamber Concert, given at the same venue on 10 February 1903.

13 June 1901: Dr Theo. Lierhammer’s Vocal Recital, given with the assistance of Miss Ethel Sharpe (piano) and accompanied by Mr G.H. Clutsam. This was a programme of nineteenth-century vocal music, the majority of which was German.

17 January [1903]: Miss Marie Stark’s Vocal Recital, given with the assistance of Miss Fanny Davies (piano) and Miss Eldina Bligh (violin), accompanied by Mr Percy Pitt. This was a programme of predominantly German vocal repertory, with solos for piano and violin.

19 January [1903]: Miss Rhoda von Glehn’s Vocal Recital, given with the assistance of Mr Percy Such (cello) and accompanied by Henry Bird.

10 February 1903: Miss Ethel Barns and Mr Charles Phillips’ Chamber Concerts (no.3), with Miss May Gibb (vocal), Miss Elsa Bignardi (violin) and Mr Herbert Walenn (cello), accompanied by Mr German Reed. This was a two-part concert of vocal and instrumental music, including the first London performance of S. Coleridge-Taylor, Two Noveletten. Also, Schumann, Dichterliebe. The concert began with a selection of trio sonatas by Baroque composers, about which there is a short historical note.
