A volume of concert programmes for performances given at various venues in England - including a large number in York - during the period 1915 to 1956, forming part of the collection of the pianist/organist William Baines (1899–1922) and relating to concerts of the following types:

1. Orders of Service (with Baines as organist)
2. Piano Recitals given by Baines
3. British Music Society concerts
4. Recitals of music Baines, given after his death.

Unless otherwise stated below, documents take the form of double-sided handbills or, more frequently, simple 4-page programmes formed from a single sheet.

1. Orders of Service
All of these events are referred to as Choir Services/Choir Festivals. The first two items listed refer to both afternoon and evening services).
14 November 1915, Primitive Methodist Church, Drighlington: with Miss Agnes Cockshott (alto) and Mr Lawton (bass).
13 February 1916, Wesleyan Church: the afternoon performance consisting of Haydn, The Creations (Parts I and II), given by Miss Mary Swailes, Mr W. Elkington and Mr Harry Horner (vocal), conducted by Fred Butler.
5 November [1916], The Nook Chapel, Chapel Street, Cleckheaton: with Madame Edith Bennett and Mr Harry Bennett (vocal).

2. Pianoforte Recitals
19 December 1917, Schoolroom, Nunnery Lane, York: for the Victoria Bar P.M Church, York, with the assistance of Miss Elsie Cooper and Mrs Walter C. Dodsworth (vocal).
16 January 1918 and 26 March 1919, School Assembly Hall, Horbury: for the Primitive Methodist Church, Horbury, with Miss Mary Audsley and Mr Frank Straw/Miss Madge Tuff and Mr Sam Ramsden.

2 February [1921], Town Hall, Huddersfield: Evening Concert given for the foundation fund of the British Music Society, with Madame Elsa Stralia, Mrs W. F. Clayton and Mr Philip Wilson (vocal), Miss Alison Shaw (piano), Mr Carl Fuchs (cello), Mr Alfred Barker (violin), featuring music by Baines, Mr Harold Thomas, Mr Herbert Bramley, Mr Arthur Pearson, Mr Ernest Cooper and Mr Haydn Sandwell (programme with words, concluding with a Statement regarding 'Some of the Objects' of the British Musical fund).
17 March 1921, Guildhall, York: Inaugural Meeting and Concert of the British Music Society (York Branch), featuring Mr William Baines (piano), Master Geo. Budden (soprano), Miss N. Veale (violin), Mr Frank Straw (tenor), Mrs W. C. Dodsworth (alto) and Rev S. G. B. Exham (baritone), accompanied by Miss Clarke and Mr J. L. Slater.

29 March 1922, Fanny Marshall Institute, Gainsborough: Piano-Vocal Recital given by Wm. Baines (piano) and Albert Ostick (baritone), accompanied by Mr Jack Longmire (with brief descriptive notes).

28 March 1924, Horbury Primitive Methodist Church: A Service … in Memory of William Baines, including Organ Selections of Mr W. Baines' Music, performed by Mr Dennis J. Chapman.
8 October 1924, Leeds Institute of Science, Art and Literature: Recital by Mr Frederick Dawson (piano).
27 November 1926, Springfield and Broom Mills Co-operatic Institute, Farsley: Pianoforte Recital by Frederick Dawson. Bound with this programme are a number of newspaper cuttings including reviews of Dawson's performance and commenting on the closure of St. George's Hall, Bradford.

8 April 1956, Leeds City Museum: Recital of Works by William Baines, given by a string quartet from the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, with Josephine Veasey and Robert Keys (piano) (2 handbills and a programme with notes).
