This collection conatains 19 volumes of programmes for the Tuesday Mid-Day Concerts. The concerts were given in the Houldsworth Hall and the Friends Meeting House, Manchester. The programmes date from 13/6/1916 to 30/3/1971. The first volume contains a pile of typed programmes dating from 9/11/1915 to 6/6/1916.

Collections Overview
The Henry Watson Music Library is named after Dr. Henry Watson, a renowned composer and teacher born in nearby Accrington. After his death in 1911 he bequeathed the contents of his private library to the care of Manchester City Council. Watson's original collection (some 16,700 volumes) has been supplemented by many important donations and acquisition since and has grown into one of the largest collections of music in any public library.
