Description
36 programmes from perfomances in the RDS, Dublin from 1886 to 2004. Concerts included the Afternoon Recitals of Chamber Music presented by the Royal Dublin Society. These contain analytical notes and wordbooks. Performers in the other concerts included Elizabeth Schwarzkopf, Janet Baker, Martin Isepp, Charles Rosen, Gyorgy Pauk, Peter Frankl, Marisa Robles, Nancy Evans, Gina Bachauer, New London String Quartet, Richard Lewis, Shura Cherassky, Louis Kentner, Bela Siki, Benthien String Quartet, John O'Conor, Frederica Von Stade, Frederic Wuher, Signor Esposito and the Garda Band and Singers for the Royal Canal Amenity Group Concert. Many are part of the Fottrell Collection. Others were donated by Owen Quinn and Beatrice Doran. The collection includes a programme from the AXA Dublin Interational Piano Competition and the Eurovision Song Contest.
