The souvenir programmes in particular have numerous portraits and photographs.

The festival ran in October. The concerts took place from Wednesday to Saturday, and there were two concerts per day. The 1905 festival featured the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Alberto Randegger; subsequent festivals featured the Queen’s Hall Orchestra or New Queen’s Hall Orchestra, conducted by Henry Wood. The orchestra from the 1830 festival was unnamed, and conducted by George Smart.
