Collection Description

Collection Title
Henry Wood Collection: Royal Albert Hall, Sunday Concerts (1905-1906)
A collection of one volume of programmes from a series of “Sunday Concerts” given at the Royal Albert Hall, 1905 to 1906. The collection contains analytical programmes for the period 08/10/1905 through to 24/06/1906 – the programme from the final date states that the concert was the last of the series – and there is a programme from every week during this date span. The programmes relate to concerts given in the afternoon, which featured orchestral music with some arias and solo items. The concerts were given alternatively by the Queen’s Hall Orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra. The Queen’s Hall Orchestra concerts were conducted by Henry Wood.

The programmes are arranged chronologically.
