Beethoven Festival (1914)
A collection of five programmes from the Beethoven Festival, 1914. The collection contains a complete series of programmes for the festival, for concerts that took place on 20th-23rd and 25th April, 1914. The programmes are from concerts that took place in the Queen’s Hall, London. The concerts were chiefly orchestral concerts, featuring performances by the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Henri Verbruggen. In the final concert, the orchestra were joined by the Leeds Philharmonic Choir. The festival featured the complete Beethoven symphonies performed in chronological order across the five concerts. In addition, the festival featured performances of other orchestral works by Beethoven including the five piano concerti, the violin concerto and various arias as well as a few songs with piano accompaniment.

Building Information
The CPH collections now form part of the RCM Library. The majority of the concert programme collections are stored off-site so you need to request items before arriving. Requests for programmes are processed on Thursday for delivery to the library the following week. The Library itself is open Monday to Friday during term times and Tuesday to Friday during vacations.
