Description
A collection of programmes from the London Music Festival, 1900. The programmes relate to concerts given at the Queen’s Hall, London. The collection is a complete set of programmes from concerts given in evenings and some afternoons – but there is only one programme in total for each day of the festival – during the period 30th April – May 5th. The festival consisted of orchestral concerts given by the combined orchestras of the Lamoureux Orchestra (Paris) and the Queen’s Hall Orchestra: the combined forces were advertised to contain 200 players. The concerts were conducted by either Henry Wood or Camille Chevillard.

Building Information
The CPH collections now form part of the RCM Library. The majority of the concert programme collections are stored off-site so you need to request items before arriving. Requests for programmes are processed on Thursday for delivery to the library the following week. The Library itself is open Monday to Friday during term times and Tuesday to Friday during vacations.
